From the Neubachtal we walk over the Klotzenberg to above the Waldbad. Turn right here, via Schlappen to Vordersbach. The forest path leads from Vordersbach to Gerzkopf. Due to its special flora and fauna, this mountain was declared a nature reserve. As a result, the Gerzkopf nature reserve was nominated as a Natura 2000 site according to the Flora-Fauna-Habitat Guidelines! With good visibility the view is hardly to be surpassed! With good visibility we can enjoy a wonderful view of great mountain personalities: From the Niederen and Hohe Tauern in the east, the Hochkönig and Hagengebirge in the south, the Tennengebirge in the west and the Gosaukamm to the Dachstein in the north.
